Terms of Service.

In short: Mighty is free. It runs on your Mac and your chats stay there. The AI can be wrong, so check what matters. The app is mine, so please don't copy or resell it.
1. Who these terms are between
Mighty is offered by Rasmus Byskov ("I", "me"). By downloading, installing or using Mighty ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Questions go to [email protected].
2. Who may use Mighty
You must be at least 18 years old. You may use Mighty only for lawful purposes and must not use it to harm others, to break the law, or to break the licence terms of the models you run in it.
3. What you get
Mighty is free of charge. I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on Macs you own or control. Mighty is closed source and stays my property. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, except as these terms or the law allow;
- reverse engineer, decompile or take the app apart, except as mandatory law allows;
- remove notices or present the app as your own.
Mighty updates itself in the background. I may change, pause or stop the app or the update service at any time, and I don't promise a particular feature or level of support.
4. Your content
What you write, attach and generate in Mighty is yours. I claim no rights to it. Chats, characters, statistics and settings are stored on your Mac, and you are responsible for backing them up. You are responsible for what you ask the models to do and for how you use their answers.
5. Privacy
Mighty has no account, no analytics and no tracking, and I collect no personal data through the app. Your chats, attachments, name, characters and usage statistics stay on your Mac. The AI engine runs on your computer and listens only on the local loopback address.
The app contacts the internet only to:
- check for and download updates from downloads.rasmusbyskov.com;
- download the Ollama engine, if it isn't included in your copy (from Ollama's GitHub releases);
- download the models you choose, from the model registry the Ollama engine uses.
Like any web request, these reveal your IP address to the server that answers, and my download server may keep ordinary server logs for a limited time. They never contain your chats or files. If you ask me for support by email, I use your address only to reply.
6. Third-party software and models
Mighty includes or downloads software and models made by others, such as the Ollama engine (MIT licence) and language models like Liquid AI's LFM models and Together AI's tev1. Each has its own licence, which applies to your use of it, and you must follow it. These terms don't change those licences, and I give no promise about the third-party components.
7. AI answers can be wrong
Mighty's answers come from language models running on your Mac. They can be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, biased or offensive, and they can invent facts. Mighty's characters change the tone of an answer, not its reliability. Check anything important, and don't rely on Mighty for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
8. No warranty
Because Mighty is free, it is provided "as is" and "as available", without a warranty of any kind, including that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Mighty is not notarized by Apple, and you install it at your own discretion.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, I am liable without limit for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law makes liability mandatory (for example under the German Product Liability Act). For slight negligence I am liable only for breach of an essential obligation, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise I am not liable, including for lost data, lost profits, or damage that results from relying on an AI answer. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop at any time by deleting the app. I may end your licence if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 3, 8, 9 and 11) continue afterwards.
11. Changes, law and the rest
I may update these terms, for example when the app changes. The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top. If you keep using Mighty after a change, you accept the new version. A change that is unreasonable for you doesn't apply to you.
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live still apply to you. If a part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
